We’re excited to offer two courses taught by Dr. Iain Provan: How to Read the Old Testament, & Church History and Why it Matters.
How to Read the Old Testament
The Old Testament is by far the larger part of the Bible, but many Christians struggle to know how to read it well for faith and life. This course will introduce every part of the content of Old Testament to the participant, but with the emphasis lying on the question: “how should I read all the parts so as to get the most out of the whole – and actually deepen my understanding of the New Testament as well?”

Church History and Why it Matters
Lots of people think that history is boring – just one fact after another, with no relevance to the present. But that’s not necessarily true even of history in general, and CERTAINLY it’s not true of Church History. We need to know about the challenges faced by Christians before us and how they succeeded in overcoming them – or failed. It will help us to understand our “family story” better, as well as our own moment IN Church History and how to handle it well. Suspend your skepticism and give history a chance!!
