Changes to our Sunday Gatherings

News

Hi Christ City,

As you may have seen, there has been an updated Public Health Order relating to worship gatherings. As has been the stance of the Elders throughout the pandemic, we intend to adhere to the recommendations and guidelines given to us by the Public Health Authority. Below is a summary of the new protocols:

  • Masks are now required for worship gatherings
  • 50% seating capacity restriction OR 100% capacity if we impose a vaccine passport system.

It is the conviction of the Elders not to deny any person access to the church community, from hearing the gospel or from taking the sacraments based on a personal health decision (or any other non-biblical categorization of people). We believe that this is consistent with God’s grace in welcoming all people.

As a result, we will not be imposing a vaccine passport system but will instead restrict our gatherings to 50% capacity in order to adhere with the latest Public Health Order.

Practically what this means is, this coming Sunday December 5th, we will be implementing:

  1. A Mask Mandate: You will be required to wear a mask for the duration of a Sunday gathering.
  2. Registration: We will restrict our gatherings to 50% capacity and regulate that by requiring pre-registration. Registration will be split between Kids Ministry downstairs and the Main Gathering upstairs to accommodate as many people as possible.
