The Christ City Preparing for Marriage Course consists of three main parts:
- Classroom Time
- Online Assessment Inventory
- Mentor Meetings
The course addresses the topics of:
- God’s Purpose for Marriage
- Roles and Responsibilities
- Financial Oneness
This (loosely) follows a workbook which is received in the first class session, which we have found to be a great resource to get the conversation started and bring the strengths and weaknesses of your relationship to the surface. This will help to offer you tools to help work through these potential weaknesses and maximize your strengths. This workbook will be the foundation of the discussion for the Mentor Meetings.
The next Preparing for Marriage Course will happen on:
Fall 2019, with all classes beginning at 1:30 PM in the Meeting Room next door to the Christ City Church South Vancouver building.
These four classes are required and there aren’t any other optional dates set at this time, so please plan ahead. Plan for these classes to run 90 minutes.
ONLINE ASSESSMENT INVENTORY
In addition to the classroom work we will do, you will each (individually) complete an online assessment inventory that you will review with your Neighbourhood Pastor.
These meetings will follow and discuss the content of the workbook – this is a fantastic time to have a guided discussion with one another and plan to glorify God in your marriage!
For Christ City Members and Attenders:
The only cost to you, as a couple, is the Online Assessment Inventory which we will send to you after you have confirmed your participation in this course. The book is a gift to you from Christ City and there is no charge for the classes.
For those who are not part of Christ City Church:
The course is $100 per couple, which includes two copies of the workbook, but does not include the cost of the Online Assessment Inventory which we will send to you after you have confirmed your participation in this course.
